‎I was working in the kitchen with my mum and two words just dropped in my heart.‎

‎"Internal Fulfillment"

‎According to the Cambridge Dictionary, Fulfillment is a feeling of happiness because you've done that which you've intended to do.

‎While there are so many definitions ascribed to this word, I'll be using this because it fits me perfectly.

‎‎Fulfillment doesn't go too far. I'll say it again or better still, you can read that line again. Beautiful, innit? Or are you confused?

Okay, I'll explain.‎

‎In a simple, layman term, you don't necessarily need to rob a bank or break your back to be fulfilled "internally". Fulfillment happens in different forms. It could be by getting yourself a notebook, or by telling a stranger that he or she looks good or by eating something you've been wishing to eat or even singing a song at the top of your lungs. That's it. That's just how simple internal fulfillment can be.

‎I am trying not to deviate right now cos I can be writing on something and my head is analyzing something else. My bad!

‎Anyway, I sat for a second to reminisce on how this year has been and then I felt this sense of internal fulfillment. Hell, I didn't have a goal this year at all. I mean, life is spontaneous and yes, I understand that goals be it short-term or long-term, are like guidelines but I'm used to freestyling the year. Like "Let's see what this year holds", that kind of thing. No new gear resolution of any kind.

‎Nevertheless, I had short-term goals that usually came in during the middle of the year, but that was just to challenge myself sometimes. You know, test my capability and strength at least, so I could later check if I had made some achievement here and there. Brah, I wasn't seeing much and these short-term goals I had made at first even looked unattainable at first for me because what in the name of goals did I just set?

‎‎Funny. At least, to me.

‎

‎But looking back now, AGAIN... I did achieve 90% of it. Not just short-term goals, but also Long-term goals.

‎

‎This year, I carried myself and my family effortlessly and boy, was that really fulfilling.

‎

‎Yeah, any working class can do that, you would say. True, but this just goes to show how little or common things, can bring you fulfillment. Internal Fulfillment.

‎

‎Okay, bye!
